Mason Bee Tool - Candling Dish

This Mason Bee Candling Dish holds mason bee cocoons over the short or long term.

For the short term, cocoons are placed into the dish and then candled for parasitic wasps. For candling the cocoons, place over a large flashlight in a dark room. You can easily see the parasite inside a cocoon. Other cocoons may have ten or so parasitic wasps which can be destroyed.

Otherwise, simply use this container to store cleaned cocoons in the refrigerator..
