Package - Imported Colony - Honeybee 2025

The Honeybee "Package"

This product purchase is a prepaid reservation for an imported package of honeybees, available between March and possibly April 2025.

These "Packaged Bees" come with a mature queen sourced from Australia or New Zealand and include approximately 2-3 pounds of bees, all contained within a mesh, breathable container. Colonies are inspected by federal authorities upon arrival and can travel safely in a vehicle.

Availability:
After placing your order online, we will follow up with you sometime before or in March 2025. Packaged Bees are generally available in March or April, depending on weather and the growth rate of the bees. A pick-up date and time will be emailed to you approximately one week in advance.

Honeybee Stock:
These imported bees are housed in a mesh box for a few days after undergoing international flights and time zone changes. Originating from mite-free areas, they are deemed treated and healthy upon arrival in Canada. Methods of mite treatment or hive management may vary based on seasonal weather and the timing of pick-up.

Livestock Policy:
Packaged bee colonies become the responsibility of the customer once they have been picked up from BC Bee Supply. While we strive to provide support and advice, various factors beyond our control may impact the success of these colonies after they leave the pick-up point. Therefore, BC Bee Supply cannot guarantee the development, establishment, or success of a colony once the package is collected.

Returns and Guarantees:
No returns, refunds, or guarantees on live bees. All paid reservations and purchases for live bees (nucs, packages, queens, mason bees) are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-cancellable.
