Wooden Spacer - two sizes: 1.5" or 3.5"
Also called a "Spacer Rim" or "Wood Shim"
These wooden rectangle rings are built with 100% Canadian wood and are used for adding space in the hive structure. They may be used in the Winter for absorbing moisture (dehumidifying) or adding pollen patties or sugar blocks (feeding) or allowing foam to sit above the hive (insulation). In the Summer, a hole can be added and a top entrance can be added to the hive or increased ventilation is possible.
Dimensions:
20" x 16.5" x 1.5" - ideal for a "pollen patty" or "sugar fondant" or "formic acid pad"
20" x 16.5" x 3.5" - ideal for a "hive top feeder" or to modify for a quilt box
