Queen Excluder

Queen Excluder or Queen Separator or Queen Bee Isolator

This product helps beekeepers by limiting the area that the queen bee can travel in. Think of the Queen Excluder as a selective barrier inside the beehive that allows worker bees (female) but not larger bees (queens and drones) to pass through. 

Either plastic or metal queen excluders are also used by some queen bee breeders. By isolating where the queen is in the hive, breeders can build hives with more brood, more young bees, more food and whatever resource they are looking for.

The main use of the Queen Excluder is to minimize the amount of eggs, larvae and brood in the honey supers. This makes honey harvesting easier and cleaner.
