If you are moving colonies any distance, it is really important to provide ample ventilation to the hive.

Use these screened lids to telescope over a 10 frame Langstroth box. They feature a wooden frame with fibreglass insect mesh.

Stressed bees trapped inside a hive generate large amounts of heat which can result in the comb melting and collapsing.
