Using a Syringe is an easy way to administer oxalic acid drizzle.

This method uses oxalic acid mixed with sugar syrup and is directly applied on to the bees clustered between the frames. Varroa mites are killed throughout the hive except where brood is present.

Benefits:
- Oxalic Acid is effective on varroa mites outside capped brood
- Oxalic Acid treatments may be repeated throughout the year, and is commonly used when brood is smallest (ie. late Fall)
- Dribble / Drizzle technique is easy to mix and inexpensive to make

How to Use:
- Formulas may vary but one recipe is to mix 35g of oxalic acid into 1L of 1:1 syrup
- Take up to 50ml into the Syringe
- Dribble 5ml in each gap between frames - oxalic solution goes directly onto bees

Note:
It is highly recommended that protective gear such as masks, eye protection and gloves be worn while administering an oxalic acid drizzle to honeybees.
